What is Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy is a pain treatment that uses a method of localized freezing temperatures to deaden an irritated nerve.

Cryotherapy is the use of ice cold spray to improve the blood flow to a painful body part to improve healing and decreased pain. Using sensors to measure the skin temperature, a CO2 gas flow is aimed at a painful body area for 30-60 seconds. This in turn will cause a significant increase of blood flow in the inflamed area. This increased blood flow will allow healing of the area.
